Sweden part III

Cognates have helped with deciphering signs, menus, product labels and other things, but then there’s the occasional false cognate. While shopping, I saw a store front with the word ‘fabriken’ on it. Ready to buy some fabric for one of my sisters, I strolled right in only to discover that they were selling window treatments.

  1. The best food I tried there? All the cheese was good. I had a couple of meals with just cheese, bread, and fruit/veggies that were quite satisfying. Other interesting foods included some items from a Chinese restaurant: curried eggs, chicken soup, and fried banana with ice cream. No, we haven't got Swedish ancestors. Grandpa Larson was Norwegian.
