community rises to the occasion

I had to vote in the Minnesota Idea Open Challenge once I read about the Soul Patch community garden in Little Falls, MN. Call it home town loyalty or call it gardener bias if you like, but I think that community is on to something. With donations and volunteers, they produced over 2000 pounds of produce for patrons of the local food shelf.

  1. Many that need the help of food banks don't get (or won't spend extra) to get fresh fruit or veggies, so this is a super idea that more communities should do…I think they do in Bisbee/Cottonwood.
